Interested in Joining GGBN?

In 2019, the pipeline to publish Arctos data to the Global Genome Biodiversity Network (GGBN) was complete! To date, MVZ, UAM, DMNS, and MSB tissue collections are published on GGBN and are core members (receive all the perks of GGBN).

Beyond making your data more accessible, the perks are numerous. You can work with other collections in best practices surrounding processing tissues, loaning tissues, and how they are cited. There are bi-annual conferences with 2020’s conference theme “ Widening GGBN’s Horizon – engaging new users and collections” being held in Shenzhen, China on May 11-15, 2020. There are award programs to assist travel to conferences and workshops along with digitizing tissue collections.

To learn more about GGBN and how to get your Arctos data published on GGBN, contact Kyndall Hildebrandt (UAM) at kbhildebrandt@alaska.edu or Mariel Campbell (MSB) at campbell@carachupa.org.
